Where have I been?

Well, I been around but not In blogger. I has been playing Cityville on FB. My sister Donna got

me hooked. Couldn't get away from it. I want to build a city like everybody else and then I did.

FinAlly got the Christmas stuffs put away in the attic..BRRR it is cold in there. I did it anyway.

No, I haven't gone back to school. The temps is colder and steets are nasty to drive in. I guess I'll go back next week or month..LOL. THings been so hectate that I had been trying to help my mom with my dad. He is doing good. We did took him to a new Neurologist for his parkingson. Which called "Slow Parkingson". Ok enough of that.

Like some snowball? lol

Hopefully tomorrow(Friday) I will go to my g/f A's house if the weather cooperate.Pressing my luck..LOL. I haven't seen her since the storm we had early last month. I am looking forward to get out of my place and hanging out with friends.

Sunday: Funnies.

I couldn’t resist this one..LOL

I hope everybody is doing well. I know I haven’t been written and doing other thing.

I finally got our Christmas decorations put away. The attic is so cold that I had to do a little

here and there.

We did got more snow last night and today. Just a few inched here and there. We did got

more than expected. The southern tier of  WNY had more snow than I did.

Maybe I will get back on my scrapbooking and cards making next week or tomorrow.

I do got to go back to school. I have been playing hooky. Okay, it is

a free course and its been a while. I haven’t been there since Dec 19.

We were suppose to be back on the Jan 9th.

I want to go back this past week but I don’t have a driver to take me.

MY mom don’t like to drive in the snow. I do not drive because I have epilepsy.

Well, I’ll be back and stay warm.

Pretty reds for Ruby Tuesday …Rednesday

I have bought these dishes at TJ Max. Candy cane tree I had for years

Ornaments in glass urn at Kmart. Linen table cloth and gold platter

at The Christmas Tree Shoppe..

Here is that new Christmas cookies I had to make.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hershey peppermint candy cane blossom cookies.

Ingredients

• 48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Candy Cane Mint Candies
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons milk
• Red or green sugar crystals, granulated sugar or powdered sugar

Directions

1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Remove wrappers from candies.
2. 2 Beat butter, granulated sugar, egg and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add alternately with milk to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
3. 3 Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in red sugar, granulated sugar, powdered sugar or a combination of any of the sugars. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. 4 Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and cookie is set. Remove from oven; cool 2 to 3 minutes. Press a candy piece into center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. About 4 dozen cookies.

Actually my first batch I got 47 cookies because I had messed up. The second batch I did it right and I got almost 5 dozen cookies. So, depend how it come out.'

I fell in love with this cookie recipe and I will make these next year. It is a thumb up recipe.

Had a nice Christmas….

Did you had a nice Christmas? I did and its went by fast.. WHEW!

We had everybody over Christmas Eve and we had soup and subs along with Jambalaya and salads.
There were 28 of us. We all did a $10 gift to pass. You bring a gift, you get a gift. Basically everybody did.

My brother and I went to my sister M and BIL house afterward. Had a blast!

I got a bottle of white wine in a stocking for my gift exchange. I also got two more Snowbabies.

I was very busy this Christmas by helping mom and dad. I didn’t even bet on the PC until yesterday. I will get to visit your blog when I can.

I missed Pink Saturday at Beverly’s How Sweet the Sounds. Oh, well I do got a life..LOL…….I will play along with others though..Maybe Faded Charm.. White Wednesay.
