Sunday funnies: Just a little chuckles.

It has been warm up here in NY for a few days but cold at night. Today we had hot dogs and baked beans for dinner. Why not?  It was a decent day.
My folks are doing okay.. We cleaned the PC room and hopefully we'll get rid of some more stuffs. Just in case you didn't know, we had moved to a new house that supposed to be downsize and mom and dad didn't get rid of their stuffs. It was hard and now mom is frustrated by the facts that we didn't get rid of unused stuffs or papers. I know, we all do it, I did too. As the last few years that we were living at a colonial style home, we did got rid of a lot of stuffs. There are things that my mom wish she didn't. Oh, well life goes on. So, that what we'd been doing, the clothes are next. We might have a garage sale and I do want to get rid of some of my beanies. They're just dust collectors.. And use up the space. The only beanies babies I want are the holidays and the Millennium bear. I had someone asked me in here, see if I want anymore? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I don't need to be a child.LOL. I do collect Snowbabies and I got enough of them too.... Enjoy your Sunday

A little late: Earth Day Facts...........

Earth Day Fun Facts

I know some of you secretly love reading my fun facts as much as I do writing them (and acting like a know it all at parties telling people them), so I thought I'd give you a double dosing this week. I believe more and more importance should be placed on Earth Day every year so it's totally worthy of its own set of fabulous fun facts. Did you know that in some elementary schools, after Halloween and Christmas, Earth Day is the third largest celebrated holiday? Or how about that it is now observed in 175 countries and is the largest secular modern day holiday in the world? For more fun facts and to learn how much energy you save when you recycle one aluminum can, read more

•Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to watch a TV for three hours - it's equivalent to half a gallon of gasoline.
•Earth Day is a relatively new holiday and was first celebrated on April 22 in 1970. More than 20 million Americans participated in this first Earth Day celebration
•Earth Day was founded by a senator of Wisconsin and the day is credited for creating the environmentalism movement.
•April 22 is the first official day of Spring in the Northern hemisphere and of Fall in the Southern hemisphere and was chosen to be Earth Day for this reason.
•Never underestimate the importance of recycling: if every newspaper was recycled, we could save about 250,000,000 trees each year. Unfortunately only 27% of all American newspapers are recycled.
•More than 20,000,000 Hershey's Kisses are wrapped each day, using 133 square miles of tinfoil. All that foil is recyclable, but not many people realize it.
•Only 11% of the earth's surface is used to grow food.
•The world's first national park was started in 1872 at Yellowstone National Park in the US.

•The first major international conference on environmental issues was held in Sweden in 1972 and was sponsored by the United Nations.
•The first wildlife refuge was formed on Pelican Island Florida in 1903.

You can read more here: EARTH DAY.

There are so many ways we can recycle and reduce waste. you can reuse your products or put in waste in recycle bin. You also can reuse things by donating goods to a Goodwill or your local Charities.
This will save more waste in garbage disposal and waste area. The History Channels have some interesting facts too.
I reuse that Bath and Body Soap container and buy everyday household refills that we gets from our local stores, I use them in bathroom and I also put dishwashing soap in it  for the kitchen. Just an one example you can do. I am sure there is  a website that you can go to for more informations, Google it.

 Have a good weekend..

Flower and Easter....

What a beautiful week. We had some warm days and now back down into the 50's. I was playing around the camera and took these photos of the daffodils. My brother's GF brought over EASTER.Pretty? So, since I got a new pc, I got to get use to playing the photo shop. Nothing fancy.

Our Easter brunch was nice. Everybody did came and help bring a dish to pass. Then we went to my sister's for dinner. Just us and her family.
I am on vacation from school this week. Bah Humbug.. My gf is off next week and I for to go back. Different school district. She work in the cafeteria at the high school. She work the same district where her son goes to. He's in the elementary school. I guess we'll get together eventually.LOL
So, I'll be off blogger for now.

Take care.
