I guess we'll put some flowers in the urn pots. I can't believe it'll be June next Monday. Summer is really coming around the corner alright! Anyway feel free to snag. I did a few different ways.I got some designs from here. Have a good weekend..

Knock Knock:

Knock, Knock I knocked at heaven's door this morning. God asked me...'My child, what can I do for you?' And I said, 'Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message.' God smiled and answered...'Request granted'. If you believe, send this to seven people and the one who sent it to you. By doing this, you have succeeded in praying for eight people today. 'Be kinder thannecessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Sat: Clothes Shopping..

My mom and I went shopping Saturday. Since my Dad went out for lunch with his buddies. I end up buying more clothes than I wanted to. I felt bad for my Mother since she only bought two things. I told her that I am done shopping for Summer's clothes and she better off going shopping with the my other sister.LOL..

I don't know some of you knew that I have lost about 3olbs since last year. I kept myself steady. I only gain a pound or two and lose it and come back like a rollercoaster. Like I said "Steady". So, I spent at least $200 and it was worth it. It was funny. I usually buy one to three items at a time. Here and there too! I was so excited to buy stuffs a size smaller.Perhap I wanted to drop two sizes. Oh, well. It's still better than nothing. Can you see the printed top that I bought? That is my bathing suit top. I still can wear the bottoms..LOL. I know it sounds funny but it is true. It was $34 and I got it for $19. What a deal! I love the colors and its matches the shorts and top that was laying there. Yay! I am so happy. Now this week I got to go throug my closet and find some stuffs that doesn't fits. HAHA...I also find a few of those long shorts and they're so comfy and capri lounger pants too! Any way this is it for now. Take care!

This is a challenge you put photos and tell their stories.

Barb. The kits called "Sunita" I want to do this for months but haven't find anything for it. I love the southwest color palette to it. In the meantime we had fun. It was different and challenging. My sister also came and didn't do it except Donna. Learning how the makeup works and how use their tools that I never do anyway.I do like make-ups and to beautify myself. As I put the make-ups on its made me looks younger..Haha.Anyway have a good night.

My makeover party:

Last night I have a makeover party. I had a few friends came and of course my sisters and nieces. Its all started out since my two nieces have their party and I booked mine from my youngest niece. It was really a spa party for the beginning and I decided that I do the Hollywood makeover. The products are nice but little on the pricey side. I do love the facial stuffs and the body wash as well along with the foot care and lotions. I did ordered some eye shadows and blush. I really don't do a lot of makeups but only for occasion and work. Not that I am not working at the moment and trying to go back to school. I notice soon I took the make-up off my face and its feels really nice. Here are some photos.

Just a little update:

I am just writing to say that my father is doing good and he is starting to walk with the cane instead of the walker. He is doing good and just steady. A little fall back to his chair here and there. No major issues. My brother did had surgery on his foot and it was a little frustrating when both me and my Mom are doing the run around. Other than that things are getting better.
I was going to post some photos of flowers and etc: that we got for my Mother for Mother's Day. I will so that eventually. Off the PC and have a good nite and a good week.

Sunday Funny: Bad Bernie..

Bad Bernie was in prison for seven years. The day he got out, his wife and son were there to pick him up. He came through the gates and got into the car.

The only thing he said was, "F.F."

His wife turned to him and answered, "E.F."

Out on the highway, he said, "F.F."

She responded simply, "E.F."

He repeated, "F.F."

She again replied, "E.F."

"Mom! Dad!" their son yelled. "What's going on?"

Bad Bernie answered, "Your mother wants to eat first!"

There were 3 good arguments that Jesus was Black:
1. He called everyone brother
2. He liked Gospel
3. He didn't get a fair trial

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Jewish:
1. He went into His Father's business
2. He lived at home until he was 33
3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his Mother was sure He was God

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Italian:
1. He talked with His hands
2. He had wine with His meals
3. He used olive oil

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was a Californian:
1. He never cut His hair
2. He walked around barefoot all the time
3. He started a new religion

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was an American Indian:
1. He was at peace with nature
2. He ate a lot of fish
3. He talked about the Great Spirit

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Irish:
1. He never got married.
2. He was always telling stories.
3. He loved green pastures.

But the most compelling evidence of all - 3 proofs that Jesus was a woman:
1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was virtually no food
2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just didn't get it
3. And even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was still work to do

Can I get an

Beautiful story.... makes you understand that things happen for a reason

The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned
to their first ministry, to reopen a church
in suburban Brooklyn , arrived in early October
excited about their opportunities When they saw
their church, it was very run down and needed
much work. They set a goal to have everything
done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve.

T hey worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls,
painting, etc, and on December 18
were ahead of schedule and just about finished.
On December 19 a terrible tempest - a driving rainstorm

hit the area and lasted for two days.
O n the 21st, the pastor went over to the church.
His heart sank when he saw that the roof had
leaked, causing a large area of plaster about

20 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall of the
sanctuary just behind the pulpit, beginning about
head high.
T he pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor,
and not knowing what else to do but postpone
the Christmas Eve service, headed home.
On the way he noticed that a local business was
having a flea market type sale for charity so he

stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful,
handmade, ivory colored, crocheted tablecloth
with exquisite work, fine colors and a Cross
embroidered right in the center. It was just
the right size to cover up the hole in the front
wall. He bought it and headed back to the church.
By this time it had started to snow. An older
woman running from the opposite direction was
trying to catch the bus.. She missed it. The pastor
invited her to wait in the warm church for
the next bus 45 minutes later.
She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor
while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put
up the tablecloth as a wall tapestry. The pastor
could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and
it covered up the entire problem area.
T hen he noticed the woman walking down the center
aisle. Her face was like a sheet.. "Pastor,"
she asked, "where did you get that tablecloth?"
The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check
the lower right corner to see if the initials, EBG were crocheted into
it there. They were. These were the initials of the woman, and she had
made this tablecloth 35 years before, in Austria
The woman could hardly believe it as the pastor
told how he had just gotten the Tablecloth. The
woman explained that before the war she and
her husband were well-to-do people in Austria .
When the Nazis came, she was forced to leave.
Her husband was going to follow her the next week.
He was captured, sent to prison and never saw her
husband or her home again.
T he pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth;
but she made the pastor keep it for the church.
The pastor insisted on driving her home, that
was the least he could do.. She lived on the other
side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn
for the day for a housecleaning job.
What a wonderful service they had on Christmas
Eve. The church was almost full. The music and the
spirit were great. At the end of the service, the
pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door
and many said that they would return.
One older man, whom the pastor recognized
from the neighborhood continued to sit in one of the
pews and stare, and the pastor wondered why he
wasn't leaving.
The man asked him where he got the tablecloth on
the front wall because it was identical to one
that his wife had made years ago when
they lived in Austria before the war and how
could there be two tablecloths so much alike.
H e told the pastor how the Nazis came, how he
forced his wife to flee for her safety and he was
supposed to follow her, but he was arrested and
put in a prison.. He never saw his wife or his home
again all the 35 years in between.
The pastor asked him if he would allow him to
take him for a little ride. They drove to Staten
Island and to the same house where the pastor
had taken the woman three days earlier.
H e helped the man climb the three flights of
stairs to the woman's apartment, knocked on
the door and he saw the greatest Christmas
reunion he could ever imagine.
True Story - submitted by Pastor Rob Reid
Who says God does not work in mysterious ways..
I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for
you today, to guide you and protect you as you go
along your way. His love is always with you, His
promises are true, and when we give Him all our
cares you know He will see us through.
So when the road you're traveling on seems
difficult at best.. Just remember I'm here
praying and God will do the rest. Pass this on
to those you want God to bless and don't forget
to send it back to the one who asked God to bless
you first.
W hen there is nothing left but God, that is when
you find out that God is all you need. Take 60
seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply
say the following small prayer for the person
who sent you this.
Father, God, bless all my friends and family in what
ever it is that You know they may be needing this
day! May their life be full of your peace,
prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a
closer relationship with you. Amen.

Thanks Donna for the tag.I took years ago..

Another one of those funnies..Cute!

Too funny!!!
A little boy goes to his father and asks 'Daddy, how was I born?'
The father answers, 'Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway!
Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:

Sunday's Funny...

YOU KNOW YOU ARE OVER THE HILL WHEN...

You find yourself beginning to like accordion music.

You're sitting on a park bench and a Boy Scout comes up and
helps you cross your legs.

Lawn care has become a big highlight of your life.

You're asleep, but others worry that you're dead.

You tune into the easy listening station...on purpose.

You discover that your measurements are now small, medium
and large ....In that order.

You light the candles on your birthday cake and a group of campers
form a circle and start singing Kumbaya.

Your arms are almost too short to read the newspaper.

You start video taping daytime game shows.

At the airport, they ask to check your bags...and you're not carrying any luggage.

You wonder why you waited so long to take up macrame.

Your Insurance Company has started sending you their free calendar...a month at a time.

At cafeterias, you complain that the gelatin is too tough.

Your new easy chair has more options than your car.

When you do the "Hokey Pokey" you put your left hip out...and it stays out.

One of the throw pillows on your bed is a hot water bottle.

Conversations with people your own age often turn into "duelling ailments."

It takes a couple of tries to get over a speed bump.

You discover the words, "whippersnapper", "scallywag" and "by-crikey"
creeping into your vocabulary.

You're on a TV game show and you decide to risk it all and go for the rocker.

You begin every other sentence with, "Nowadays..."

You run out of breath walking DOWN a flight of stairs.

You look both ways before crossing a room.

Your social security number only has three digits.

You come to the conclusion that your worst enemy is gravity.

People call at 9 p.m. and ask, "Did I wake you?"

You go to a Garden Party and you're mainly interested in the garden.

You find your mouth making promises your body can't keep.

The waiter asks how you'd like your steak...and you say "pureed."

At parties you attend, "regularity" is considered the topic of choice.

You start beating everyone else at trivia games.

You frequently find yourself telling people what a loaf of bread USED to cost.

Your back goes out more than you do.

Cafeteria food starts tasting GOOD.

You refer to your $2500 stereo system as "The Hi-Fi."

You make it a point to attend all the RV shows that come to town.

You realize that a stamp today costs more than a picture show did when you
were growing up.

Your childhood toys are now in a museum.

Many of your co-workers were born the same year that you got your last promotion.

The clothes you've put away until they come back in style... come back in style.

All of your favorite movies are now revised in color.

The car that you bought brand new becomes an antique.

You have more hair in your ears and nose than your head.

You wear black socks with sandals.

You take a metal detector to the beach.

A New Pledge Allegiance

Written by a 15 yr. old School Kid in Ohio :

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME!)

Since the Pledge of Allegiance & The Lords Prayer

Are not allowed in Schools anymore

Because the word 'God' is mentioned...

A Kid in Ohio wrote the attached...

NEW School prayer :

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks..
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

=0 D

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

If you aren't ashamed to do this,
Please pass this on..

Jesus said,
'If you are ashamed of me,
I will be ashamed of you before my Father.

My slideshow of the local beach..

It was in the mid-80's on Monday. My big sister Donna and I went to a local beach and check it out. There were some people were on the beach. It was so sunny and clear. I am so surprised that it wasn't as windy as I thought. We had a good weeken in the 70's and my father was on the front porch Sunday. I don't know about Monday though. He really shouldn't be in the sun since the surgery. In the meantime he is doing well. I am going to keep it short and everybody have a good Tuesday.

The Sack Lunches..

I have recieved this from a friend in my e-mail. Though I will share it with you..Have a good day..

The Sack Lunches
I put my carry-on in the luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned seat. It was going to be along flight. 'I'm glad I have a good book to read Perhaps I will get a short nap,' I thought.

Just before take-off, a line of soldiers came down the aisle and filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding me. I decided tostart a conversation.'Where are you headed?' I asked the soldier seated nearest to me.

'Petawawa. We'll be there for twoweeks for special training, and thenwe're being deployed to Afghanistan

After flying for about an hour, anannouncement was made that sacklunches were available for fivedollars. It would be several hoursbefore we reached the east, and Iquickly decided a lunch would helppass the time..

As I reached for my wallet, Ioverheard soldier ask his buddy if he planned to buy lunch.'No, that seems like a lot of money for just a sack lunch.. Probably wouldn't be worth five bucks. I'll wait till we get to base '

His friend agreed.

I looked around at the other soldiers. None were buying lunch. I walked to the back of the plane and handed the flight attendant a fifty dollar bill.'Take a lunch to all those soldiers.' She grabbed my arms and squeezed tightly. Her eyes wet with tears, she thanked me. 'My son was asoldier in Iraq ; it's almost like you are doing it for him.'

Picking up ten sacks, she headed upthe aisle to where the soldiers were seated. She stopped at my seatand asked, 'Which do you like best - beef or chicken?'

'Chicken,' I replied, wondering why she asked. She turned and went to the front of plane, returning a minute later with a dinner plate from first class. 'This is yours, thanks..'

After we finished eating, I went again to the back of the plane, heading for the rest room.A man stopped me. 'I saw what you did. I want to be part of it.Here, take this.' He handed me twenty-five dollars.

Soon after I returned to my seat, Isaw the Flight Captain coming downthe aisle, looking at the aislenumbers as he walked, I hoped he wasnot looking for me, but noticed hewas looking at the numbers only on my side of the plane. When he got to my row he stopped, smiled, held out his hand, an said,'I want to shake your hand.'

Quickly unfastening my seatbelt I stood and took the Captain's hand. With a booming voice he said, 'I wasa soldier and I was a military pilot. Once, someone bought me a lunch. It was an act of kindness Inever forgot.' I was embarrassed when applause was heard from all of the passengers.

Later I walked to the front of the plane so I could stretch my legs.A man who was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his hand, wanting to shake mine. He left another twenty-five dollars in my palm.

When we landed I gathered my belongings and started to deplane. Waiting just inside the airplane doorwas a man who stopped me, put something in my shirt pocket, turned, and walked away without saying aword. Another twenty-five dollars!

Upon entering the terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their trip to the base. I walked over to themand handed them seventy-five dollars. 'It will take you some time to reach the base. It will be about time for a sandwich.God Bless You.'

Ten young men left that flight feeling the love and respect of their fellow travelers. As I walked briskly to my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe return. These soldiers were giving their all for our country. I could only give them a couple of meals.

It seemed so little...

A veteran is someone who, at onepoint in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including My life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

Wine for Senior....Funny!

I kid you not... New Wine for Seniors

California vintners in the Napa Valley area, which primarily produce: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio wines, have developed a new hybrid grape that acts as an anti-diuretic. It is expected to reduce the number of trips older people have to make to the bathroom during the night.

The new wine will be marketed as

Just a little bit here and there..

Today, we (my Mom, Donna, and me) went to visit Dad at the therapy place and Dad is doing good. We'd been visiting just about every afternoon. My Dad have therapy in the mornings and at late noons. Anyway, we just visit him in the late afternoon. Yesterday we went in twice because big brother in my SIL invited us for dinner and we all went in one car and leaves my mom's car at the facility. It was awful sweet of them to do that to us and save little time by going out of our way to visit Dad. Thanks GOD that I have several siblings. I believe that my Dad might be home late in the next week or not. My other brother is having surgery on his foot. Another one of those days. That will be in my other post. It will be a rough week for Dad to come home for. I don't think he's ready even he thinks it is.
I got another weird story for you all. On Easter Sunday, my Mom and I had a minor car accident on the way to church. We were in the intersection and turning as while we were waiting for people to cross the street All of the sudden I look see if anyone was coming while mom was paying attention to pedestrians to cross. Just out of the blue the guy was speeding to catch the green light and ran right into the front of the passenger side of the car. I was on that side and NO INJURY FOLKS. Mom was a little on the upset side and I'm just shocked by what just happened. We are okay!! Thanks God! My Mom and I were never been in an accident before and it was a scary one too. We never made it to Church that day and we just went home.
Donna is doing good. She'll probably post later over the weekend. She probably have better days . Today she rode her exercised bike and rode 3.1 mi. That what I do when I do the walking dvd..I haven't in a while. I was going to do it this week, since the accident I want to take it easy before I sprang my neck and all..Well this it is for now talk to all soon and have a good weekend.

Hmm What to write?

Well, its been a busy weekend. My Dad is in the nursing facility for therapy. He'd been good. My mom is there today with my other sister. He went there Sunday and started therapy Monday. Both morining and afternoon sessions. Yesterday, my Mother and I went there in the afternoon and I asked my Father if my big brother stop in the early afternoon. He said "No". Then the next thing I knew that he and my SIL showed up. We were there 'til my Father's dinner hour and my brother and SIL invited us out. As soon we came back from dinner, my father's leg looks purple.. ugh! We waited to the nurse to come in see the wound was and she said, "that happened a few days after the surgery." What a relief..So, went home. He is doing okay and he got his haircut today.. Something that he needed I guess.
WE had a nice Easter and went to my sister's for dinner and went back to see my father. We couldn't get in earlier that day because everybody were visiting and we couldn't find a parking space. My brother went in and out dropping my father's clean clothes .
Donna is doing good also, She hasn't seen my Dad since last week at the hospital. I guess she gotten worn out from driving and doing her erands. In the meantime enough from here and I'll be posting.
